How P-LAH works
Whether you are looking for an opportunity or looking for people, P-LAH makes the process simple.
For Individuals
1. Getting Started on P-LAH
Getting started as a volunteer on P-LAH is simple.
1. Create your account
Select Join, choose a volunteer account and enter your details. Verify your email, then sign in.
2. Complete your profile
Go to your profile and add the requested information about yourself, including your experience, skills, interests and availability. It should take about 10 minutes.
3. Save your progress
You don’t have to complete everything at once. Select Save as you go and come back whenever you need to.
4. Submit your profile
Once your profile is at least 70% complete, you can submit it for approval.
5. Wait for approval
P-LAH will review your profile. Once approved, you can start applying for opportunities.
6. Explore opportunities
Go to Opportunities to see what’s available. Browse the listings or use the filters to narrow your search.
7. Apply or save for later
Open an opportunity to see the full details. If it interests you, apply or save it to come back to later.
8. Check your recommendations
Go to Recommended for You to see opportunities P-LAH has matched to your profile.

2. Managing Your Volunteer Journey
Once your profile is approved, your P-LAH dashboard helps you manage your volunteer activity in one place.
1. Check your applications
Go to Applications to see the opportunities you’ve applied for and their current status.
2. Check your invitations
Organisations may find your profile through P-LAH and invite you to apply for an opportunity. Review the opportunity and apply if you’re interested.
An invitation does not mean you have already been selected.
3. Find your saved opportunities
Anything you save while browsing can be found under Saved Roles.
4. Keep your profile updated
Update your skills, experience, interests or availability whenever something changes. This helps P-LAH continue to recommend relevant opportunities.
5. Complete your opportunity
If you’re selected, the organisation will guide you through the opportunity. When you finish, the organisation confirms your completion on P-LAH.
6. Get your certificate
Once your completion has been confirmed and approved by P-LAH, your certificate will be issued. You can access it under
My Certificates.
